Review
Renault Trafic (01 - present)
The Trafic has been a really popular medium size van for Renault ever since its release back in 2001. Having been around for such a long time, Renault have been able to hone and refine it to keep it up there amongst the likes of the Volkswagen Transporter, and the Ford Transit. Two really tough vans to compete with. There’s a few different body-types in the range; the most popular to date being the panel van. In general the Trafic is excellent when it comes to practicality, with its cargo capacity ranging between 5.0 and 8.0 cubic metres. It comes with clever side sliding doors, wide-opening rear doors and a low load lip so it’s really easy to get loads in and out. The cabin itself is also impressively practical; there’s plenty of room, decent storage capability, and a lots of kit. In terms of driving, handling doesn’t get much easier than the Trafic. The steering is assured and accurate, the ride can be smooth most of the time, and gear-shifting is seamless. There’s a decent engine range, all of which are pretty efficient and do well with fuel usage.
