Suzuki SX4 S-Cross (13 - Present)
The S-Cross is a revamp of the already popular SX4, and as the name suggests, is a small cross between a hatchback and an off-roader. Suzuki have a great reputation for producing rugged, reliable little SUVs and they haven’t failed to deliver on the S-Cross. Available in both four and two wheel drive – it offers that nice high driving position favoured by the drivers in this segment, as well as that tough hard wearing Suzuki reliability that carries on to the basic but functional cabin. Engine choice is a simple choice between petrol and diesel both offer impressively low running costs, including the 4-wheel drive version. It may be competing in a fiercely competitive area of the market but the great value of the S-Cross when you consider the quality of car you are getting makes it well worth a look.
Look out for
- The S-Cross is available in some funky colours but choose carefully as colour can be a major deterrent for buyers come resale time
